Compact structure of power winch
Heavy duty winch has compact system. It mainly consists of cable/wire rope, drum, motor and gear train.
The cable is very important part of winch. Durable cable or wire rope can deal with pulling work safely. Every time before using the winch, check the cable carefully, and make sure whether the cable is twisted or broken.
A drum is circular in shape and allows the wire to be neatly wrapped around it. A spool within the winch allows the drum to rotate in a circular motion, winding the cable in or out.

Store and handle winches correctly;
Inspect the winch, rope and accessories before use and before placing into storage;
Lift the load just clear, halt for a short period to ensure the integrity of the brake or sustaining mechanism before completing the lift;
Use a speed appropriate to the specific application;
Keep hands and feet clear of ropes, drums etc.

Tips of heavy duty winch operation
Do not use defective winches, ropes, pulleys;
Check the rigging arrangement, that fleet angles are not too great, the rope/cable is not twisted and the load is free to move. Check operating handles are secure.
Raise the load just clear, halt the lift to ensure the integrity of the brake, slinging arrangement. With power operated winches, select a speed appropriate to the specific lifting operation.
Ensure oil, water or other foreign matter does not come into contact with lined brakes.
Check the rope and load travel paths are clear, and you have a clear view so as to avoid accidents or collisions. Do not over wind the rope on or off the drum.
Keep fingers, toes clear of ropes, pulleys, drums and other moving parts.
