Classifications and Uses of Rail Container Gantry Crane

Rail container gantry crane is mainly used for container loading, unloading, handling and stacking in container railway transfer yard and large container storage yard.

Rail container gantry crane is composed of main beam, rigid and flexible legs, running trolley, lifting mechanism, crane running mechanism, electrical system, operation cab, etc.

1. According to the operation process of the yard, the overhanging cantilever in the direction of single or double legs becomes a single or double cantilever model, and the overhanging cantilever without overhanging becomes a non cantilever model. According to the site, container storage and transportation process and loading and unloading vehicles (container trucks or railway vehicles), different structural forms without cantilever, single cantilever and double cantilever are determined.

2. According to the structure of the main beam and the leg and the anti sway device, the rail type container gantry crane is divided into different forms.

Because the container needs to pass through the inner space of the two sides of the leg, the clearance in the width direction of the leg is large.

According to the different forms of the main girder carried by the leg, the double cantilever rail type container gantry crane generally adopts the “U” shape of the upper part of the leg and the “Π” shape of the upper part of the leg. Because the container does not need to pass through the inner space of the leg, the structure of the gantry crane without cantilever rail is relatively simple.

Compared with the quayside container crane, the trolley running speed of the rail type container gantry crane is relatively low, and generally there is no anti sway device. If the user puts forward the requirements for reducing the operation intensity and improving the productivity, the anti rolling device is provided. For the rope hoisting mechanism, the anti rolling is generally realized by applying damping to the rope; for the rigid hoisting mechanism, the anti rolling is realized by the rigid component.
